The months of July, August and September do not allow boating and even Rope-way is closed during Monsoon. It takes around 2-3 hours for a bhedaghat sightseeing including Chausat Yogini temple Panchwati-Nouka vihaar(Boating site). It is recommended to carry quality camera as well as sun hats.
Timing for Ropeway is 10:30 to 18:30 every-day, charges are 55/- per person for to and fro.
Roopnath is located approximately 84 km from Jabalpur. Everyone who visits Jabalpur always make a quick visit to Roopnath which is known for housing a lingam(sanctified stone). The lingam is dedicated to Hindu deity, Lord Shiva.

Mahadev Mandir is a beautiful place which is surrounded by rocks. There is small pond of clean water in front of the temple.
Mata Parvati Temple lies opposite to Shiv Mandir and there is a Buddhist Rock inscription here. Archaeological Survey of India has declared this as a protected monument.
How to Reach Roopnath
Roopnath (Katni) is well connected by road. National Highway 7 runs through the city. And if you wish to travel by train, Katni Junction is located at the heart of rail network. There are frequent trains from Katni to Jabalpur. By Air, the nearest airport to Roopnath is Jabalpur Airport.
It is said to be the oldest suburban town of Jabalpur. Bilhari is situated over 14 km from Katni. There are many ancient sculptures which have been preserved here. National Park of Fossils
National Park of Fossils is situated in district of Mandala. The place was established in the year 1983. It is also said to be registered in list of major wildlife sanctuaries in the state of Madhya Pradesh. There are different varieties of botanical fossils which can be seen at this place. The most suitable time to visit is between November and May.
Nohta is said to be nearly 31 km away from Jabalpur. It was at one time the capital of Chandela kings during early 12th century.
